  • Explore the natural, cultural and historical attractions of the 3 neighbouring countries through multisport activities: hiking in the mountains of the Dubrovnik countryside, biking along the picturesque bays of Montenegro and the formal railroad route through Bosnia, paddling down the green river and exploring historical cities of Dubrovnik, Kotor and Mostar.

This is a 8 days and 7 nights guided tour with modarate daily activities. Day by day we travel and explore one of the scenic and interesting area of Europe where river meets the sea, where the west meets the east and the Orient meets the Mediterranean.

Itinerary

Itinerary:

1st day: arrival at the Dubrovnik Airport

Shuttle transport to your accommodation in Cavtat / Konavle, check-in.

Welcome dinner with the group.

Overnight stay in the Cavtat / Konavle region.

2nd day: Konavle hiking tour

The hiking tour of Konavle starts after a short ride to the village of Kuna (at 750m above sea level and the valley of Konavle). There we start our hiking tour to a 1234-meter peak, following the old Austro-Hungarian military trail. From this peak we will get to enjoy a spectacular view of the towns and islands on the coast, the valley of Konavle and a huge part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. After lunch we will walk back to the village and ride back to the hotel.

Overnight stay at the same hotel in Konavle / Cavtat.

 

3rd day: Kotor (Montenegro), cycling distance: 65km

Cycling from Konavle and across the border to Montenegro.

After breakfast we fit the bikes and cycle along the Konavle valley and the picturesque bays to Montenegro. We cross the border and cycle through the town of Herceg Novi. The trip continues along the bay of Kotor, area with amazing views of the bay, and historical towns with an amazing hinterland.

Arrival in Kotor and free time to explore the town on your own.

Overnight stay in the area of the town of Kotor.

 

 

4th day: Ravno (Bosnia and Herzegovina), cycling distance: 65km

Today we leave the town of Kotor and Montenegro and travel by car. After a one-hour drive through the mountain region of Montenegro, we will park the car and continue our journey on bikes. From there, we cycle down to the valley of Herzegovina, pass by small towns, farms and a very rural area which was seriously damaged during the Homeland War in the 1990s. In the small town of Hum, we get to the formal railroad of the Ćiro train (now cycling path) and we continue cycling along that path to the small town of Ravno. This interesting and remote part of Herzegovina (southern part of Bosnia) is very much different from Croatia and Montenegro.

Overnight stay in Ravno / Zavala.

5th day: Čapljina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), cycling distance: 60km

Next day in Bosnia and Herzegovina we continue cycling on the formal railroad trail through the rural area of Herzegovina, along the valley of Popovo Polje. This trail take us to another valley and the river of Neretva, a green area with lakes, rivers and channels.

Overnight stay in the town of Čapljina, on the river of Neretva.

6th day: Mostar (canoe safari / rafting on the river), distance: 8km, sightseeing tour of Mostar

This morning we have a different experience. After a short shuttle ride to our starting point on the Trebižat River, we start canoe safari on the river. This river adventure includes paddling, swimming, exploring and enjoying the scenery. Depending on our stops (stops for swimming or taking photos), we finish with canoe adventure around lunchtime. After lunch we drive to Mostar (a 45-minute drive up north), where we have free time in the afternoon to explore the town on our own.

Overnight stay in Mostar.

 

7th day: Dubrovnik, city tour.

After breakfast we leave Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina and travel to Dubrovnik (Croatia) by car. This is a 3-hour scenic drive through the mountain area of Herzegovina. Upon our arrival in Dubrovnik and check-in at our hotel, we have guided city tour of the historical part of Dubrovnik. You spend the rest of the day free, at your own leisure.

Overnight stay in Dubrovnik.

 

8th day: departure day

Breakfast and shuttle service transport to the Dubrovnik Airport in accordance with flight times.
