This multi-day tour combines the highlights of Dubrovnik, nearby islands, and the beautiful countryside of southern Croatia. You’ll explore the historic Old City of Dubrovnik with a local guide, enjoy free time for sightseeing and island visits, and discover the relaxed island life of Lopud on scenic walking trails.

The journey continues to the Pelješac Peninsula, renowned for its vineyards, where you’ll walk through wine-growing areas, taste famous local wines, and enjoy a seafood lunch in the medieval town of Ston. The final part of the tour is based in Cavtat, offering guided and self-guided walks through Konavle’s countryside, traditional villages, coastal paths, and vineyards, complemented by wine tastings and local cuisine.

With a balance of guided experiences and free time, this tour is ideal for travelers who enjoy walking, nature, culture, wine, and an authentic Dalmatian lifestyle at a relaxed pace.

Itinerary

1st day

Arrival at the Dubrovnik Airport, meet and greet and a transport service to your accommodation in Dubrovnik. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

 

2nd day

After breakfast, follows transfer to Dubrovnik Old City, where you meet with your local English-speaking guide, who leads you through the Old centre. After 2 hours of ga uided tour, you have time for refreshment ( cafe, lunch, just walking through the streets...). During sightseeing, your guide will show you where the Dubrovnik Old port is. The rest of the day you can spend exploring the town, e.g., visiting museums, City Walls, taking a cable car and visiting the island of Lokrum, which is optional.

On the island of Lokrum, beside nice walking paths which can take you on the highest island peak ( Fort Royal) you can also enjoy walking in the Botanical garden and eventually swimming in some of many hidden bays. 

You can spend some of your free time in the city and then you can walk to your Dubrovnik accommodation, or you can use the local city bus or taxi service.

 

3rd day: island of Lopud walking tour, walking distance: up to 9 km

On your second day in Dubrovnik, you visit the island of Lopud and go on a self-guided walking tour of the island.

In the morning we take a ferry from the Dubrovnik port to the island of Lopud. The trip takes about 45 minutes. Several departure times (in the afternoon hours) are available for our return from the port of Lopud back to Dubrovnik.

Lopud has a Mediterranean vegetation, mild climate with plenty of sunny days, old stone houses, churches, and many noble palaces. Lopud is a perfect place for a hiking getaway from Dubrovnik. There are several hiking trails, including the one that goes around the island and is 9 km long, on which you can discover old forts, churches, gardens and enjoy a magnificent view of the cliffs. It is also famous for having one of the best beaches in the Dubrovnik area, the sandy beach Sunj.

Lopud is an Elaphiti island located between the islands Šipan and Koločep. It is well connected to the Dubrovnik port by daily ferry lines. The biggest village on the island is also named Lopud and it is located in a picturesque bay with a Franciscan monastery on the waterfront surrounded by palm and citrus trees.

 

4th day: Pelješac peninsula, wine tasting, walking in wine growing area, seafood lunch.

On the fourth day we visit the beautiful peninsula of Pelješac. It is located in the heart of South Dalmatia. This picturesque area is home to some of the most intriguing red wines in Europe. Our private wine tour includes a visit to the small medieval town of Ston (with one of the most famous sights – the walls of Ston, which are about 5.5km long).

Upon arrival to the peninsula, we continue straight to the village of Ponikve where we walk about 8km in wine growing area.

After this walk tour continues by car transfer to Ston where we visit a local wine producer and havea seafood lunch. In the winery, you will taste local wines: Dingac, Postup, Plavac. After lunch and a short sightseeing tour through the narrow streets of the historical center, we return to Dubrovnik.

5th day: Shuttle from Dubrovnik to Cavtat, Konavle wine & walk tour

Meet with our driver/guide during the morning and shuttle to Cavtat, your destination for the last 3 days. After a short panoramic drive and check in your hotel, you continue with a guided trip to Konavle countryside for a walking and wine tasting trip with a traditional lunch.

Today you explore Dubrovnik countryside on a walking tour through picturesque villages and scenic trails along the coastal parts. This walking tour starts in the old village of Popovici where old houses and gardens are a perfect introduction in Konavle past and tradition. The trail continues through a forest of oaks and cypress trees and continues along the stunning coast with the amazing views to the open sea, lush cypress forests and range of the Dinarids mountains.

After a nice walk, we go to the family farm and wine cellar where we have wine, liquor tasting, and traditional lunch with ham and cheese, salat and cake.

After lunch, we havea  car shuttle back to your hotel in Cavtat

 6th day: Konavle countryside hiking (distance around 15km), self-guided.

A day for a self-guided walking tour from Cavtat to the countryside town Cilipi and back. This hiking trail follows the coastal part, old gardens, and villages. On this hike, you have several paths to the sea. Upon arrival in Cilipi you can visit the museum, church, old centre of the town around the church and during the Sundays morning, see the local folklore dancers and singers.

7th day: free day in Cavtat

Today you can explore the medieval town of Cavtat on your own. Cavtat is also a beach town with nice bays and beaches for swimming. You can take a water taxi service and see the islands, or excursion to visit Montenegro. Or you can take hike route for this day and visit the hills above bay of Cavtat.

8th day: departure

We arrange transfer from Cavtat to Dubrovnik airport.
