Description

Bike to Farm is an eight-day cycling tour through southern Croatia, combining outdoor activity with authentic culinary experiences. Starting in Konavle, we cycle through fields, vineyards, and coastal villages, tasting local wines and liqueurs, and taking part in cooking with our hosts. In the Neretva Valley, we explore mandarin orchards and canals by traditional wooden boats. On Pelješac, we visit farms offering homemade cheeses and wines. On Korčula, we stop at an eco-farm, and on Mljet, we ride through the national park to a local family estate. The tour ends with a return to Korčula, full of southern flavours.

Day 1 – Konavle
Arrival in Dubrovnik and transfer to Gruda in Konavle. We cycle through the Konavle fields, visiting the Ljuta river, old mills and a Franciscan monastery. At a local family farm, we taste homemade liqueurs and prepare a lunch together using freshly picked ingredients. After lunch, we cycle to our accommodation at a local agritourism.
Day 2 – Konavle
We continue cycling through the southern coastal villages of Konavle. The day ends with a wine tasting and traditional lunch in the cellar of a local family winery. Overnight stay at agritourism in Konavle.
Day 3 – Metković & Neretva Valley
Transfer to the Neretva Valley. We cycle through mandarin orchards all the way to the river delta. Aboard traditional boats (trupica), we explore the Neretva canals on a photo safari. This is followed by a traditional lunch of eel and river fish dishes. Overnight stay in Metković.
Day 4 – Metković & Neretva Valley
Today we ride around the Neretva lakes and vineyards. The route takes us to the hills above the sea, ending at a local winery for a tasting and traditional lunch. Return and overnight stay in the Neretva Valley.
Day 5 – Pelješac Peninsula
A short transfer takes us to Ston on the Pelješac peninsula. We cycle through vineyards and scenic villages to the village of Kuna. At a local farm, we taste cheese, olive oil, and cured meat specialties. Overnight stay at an agritourism in Kuna.
Day 6 – Pelješac Peninsula
We explore the wine-growing area of Pelješka Župa by bike. The day includes a visit to a local winemaker in Potomje, wine tasting, and a light lunch. Overnight stay in Kuna at an agritourism.
Day 7 – Korčula Island
We cycle to Orebić and take a ferry to Korčula Island. From there, we continue cycling to the village of Žrnovo, where we visit an eco-farm for tastings of olive oil, liqueurs and a homemade lunch. Overnight stay at an agritourism on Korčula.
Day 8 – Mljet Island
Morning ferry to Mljet Island. We cycle through the national park, around the Great and Small Lakes and into the island’s interior to the village of Blato. There, we enjoy tastings of olive oil, local red and white wines, cheese, and prosciutto. We return to Korčula by ferry. Overnight at an agritourism.
Day 9 – End of Tour
The tour ends with departure or continuation of your travels upon request.
