Start & end: Dubrovnik (Dubrovnik airport).
Daily cycling distances: 40 – 65 km, cycling difficulty: moderate with challenging parts
Type of cycling: Road cycling (trekking, road bikes or E bikes).

Croatia – Montenegro – Bosnia & Herzegovina The cycling tour in west Balkan and Mediterranean part of Europe is cycling through one of the most spectacular places in the Europe. This fantastic area spread over the hills and mountains of the Dinarids, along the seashores settled by medieval towns, picturesque villages and valleys in Bosnia. On this tour, you visit 3 countries: Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and you explore most interesting sights of it. This holiday combine rides on the scenic and interesting routes into Bosnian and Montenegro mountains, by the sea, through remote towns and villages. This is a trip for the nature and history lovers, cyclists who prefer daily longer distances with some challenging parts, awarded with spectacular views.

1st day: arrival
Meet at the airport of Dubrovnik and transfer to the hotel in Dubrovnik.
Introduction with the trip itinerary
Rest of the day is free.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.
2nd day: cycling from Dubrovnik to Herceg Novi (through Bosnian territory)
Cycling distance: 65 km, elevation gain 910 m
Breakfast in the hotel, a short transfer outside of the town where we start our cycling tour, cycling in the direction of the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and the town of Trebinje.
Cycling through the hilly part of the triangle of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, in the direction to the town of Herceg Novi, located on the Montenegro coast.
Overnight stay at a 3/4* hotel in the Herceg Novi area.

3rd day: Montenegro coast (from Herceg Novi along the Bay of Kotor to the town of Kotor)
Cycling distance 40 km, elevation gain 200 m

Cycling along the coastal area of the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro fjord) to the town of Kotor. The bike ride is mainly on flat terrain. We follow the road along the Bay of Kotor, through medieval historical towns. After a short stop in the town of Kotor, we continue to our hotel.
Overnight stay at a 3* hotel in the area of the town of Kotor.

4th day: Montenegro – Croatia ( Gruda, Konavle)
Cycling distance: 70km, elevation gain 755 m.
After breakfast and check out from the hotel we continue with bike ride along the other side of the bay in direction to border crossing with Croatia. Once we cross the border, we will cycle through the Konavle countryside, a very picturesque area between the mountains and the Adriatic Sea.
Arrival in the village of Gruda, Konavle countryside in the afternoon. Free time to explore Konavle are on your own.
Overnight stay in the Cavtat, Konavle area, 3* hotel.

5th day: Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina
Cycling distance: 57km, elevation gain 150 m
After breakfast we do the short car shuttle closer to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina where we start with bike ride. In the town of Ivanica, we continue to cycle on the old railroad trail along the valley of Popovo polje and the Trebišnjica river. In the 1990s, this area was a war zone and along this route and there are still evidences which is reminiscent of that time. Besides interesting historical facts, this part of the route includes a beautiful landscape which is different to the one of the coastal areas.
Arrival in the small village of Zavala/ Ravno in the afternoon hours, free time.
Overnight stay in a cosy B&B in Zavala/ Ravno.

6th day: Zavala – Ston (Bosnia and Herzegovina, return to Croatia)
Cycling distance: 40km, elevation gain 630 m.
Today we cycle along the valley and the rural areas of Herzegovina towards the border of Croatia, the peninsula of Pelješac and the town of Ston. This area is famous for several things: the town of Ston is a medieval town with the longest walls in Europe, it is the first town on the peninsula of Peljesac, where they produce excellent red wines. In the area surrounding the town of Ston, there are oyster bays and mussel farms.
Todays bike ride is one of the shortest, but it features a hillside part of the route with nice climbs and downhills.
Arrival in Ston, free time, a possibility of oyster tasting and a sailing trip to oyster farms.

7th day: Ston – along the peninsula of Pelješac to Orebić
Cycling distance: there are possible two cycling routes.
Longer cycling route, cycling distance 50 km, elevation gain 600 m.
Shorter cycling route ( along the penisula to beach town Trstenik), cycling distance 32 km, elevation gain 400 m.
Cycling along the penisula of Pelješac represents one of the most scenic bike rides in the Mediterranean. It has it all: from nice roads to spectacular views of the islands and the open sea, scenic rides through the vineyards, old villages and towns in the hidden bays.
The bike ride ends in the town of Orebić around lunchtime.
In the afternoon we have a shuttle (car transfer) to Dubrovnik. Arrival in Dubrovnik in the late afternoon, early evening hours.
