2nd day

After breakfast we will take you to the Dubrovnik Old Town, where you will meet with your local English-speaking guide, who will take you around the Old Town. After the guided tour, which lasts about 2 hours, you will get to explore the city at your leisure (have coffee or lunch, walk around town etc.). After the sightseeing tour, your guide will show you where the Dubrovnik port is. From there you will take a ferry to the island of Lokrum. You will spend the rest of the day on this interesting island in the vicinity of Dubrovnik. In addition to nice pathways, which will take you to the highest peak of the island (fort Royal), you can also enjoy a walk in the Botanical garden and possibly go for a swim in one of the many hidden bays. In the late afternoon we will leave Lokrum and head to the Old Port of Dubrovnik and go for a short walk along Stradun, the main street in Dubrovnik. After that, you can walk to your accommodation in Dubrovnik or reach it by city bus.

3rd day: island of Lopud walking tour, walking distance: up to 12km

On your second day in Dubrovnik you will visit the island of Lopud and go on a self-guided walking tour of the island.

In the morning we will take a ferry from the Dubrovnik port to the island of Lopud. The trip takes about 45 minutes. Several departure times (in the afternoon hours) are available for our return from the port of Lopud back to Dubrovnik.

Lopud has a Mediterranean vegetation, mild climate with plenty of sunny days, old stone houses,

churches and a number of noble palaces. Lopud is a perfect place for a hiking getaway from Dubrovnik. There are several hiking trails, including the one which goes around the island and is 12km long, on which you can discover old forts, churches, a botanical garden and enjoy a magnificent view of the cliffs. It is also famous for having one of the best beaches in the Dubrovnik area.

Lopud is an Elaphiti island located between the islands Šipan and Koločep. It is well connected to

the Dubrovnik port by daily ferry lines. The biggest village on the island is also named Lopud and it is located in a picturesque bay with a Franciscan monastery on the waterfront surrounded by palm and citrus trees.

4th day: Pelješac peninsula, wine tasting

On the fourth day we will visit the beautiful Pelješac peninsula. Located in the heart of south Dalmatia, this picturesque area is home to some of the most interesting red wines in Europe. Our private wine tour includes a visit to the small medieval town of Ston (with one of the most famous sights – the walls of Ston, that are about 5.5km long). After a short sightseeing tour, we will continue our trip to the Pelješac villages of Ponikve and Potomje, where we will visit some of the local wine producers and taste their famous wines: Dingač, Postup, Plavac etc. After a visit to wine cellars and vineyards, we will visit the village of Ponikve where we will have lunch with a local family. After lunch we will return to Dubrovnik.

5th day: Konavle countryside hiking (distance around 15km)

After breakfast we will meet in Dubrovnik and take you to Cavtat. You will be based in Cavtat for the following 3 days. This medieval town is located on the edge of the Konavle valley that has many small villages, which makes it an ideal place for hiking tours in the countryside. The hiking trail starts in Cavtat and goes through the villages, forests, fields and vineyards all the way to the village of Čilipi. The trail then goes through other villages and finally ends in the village of Radovčići. The trails and pathways are about 15km long in one direction (from Cavtat to the village of Radovčići). In order to return to Cavtat, you can walk back (using the same trail) or you can take a local bus.

6th day: Konavle wine tour

We will meet with our driver / guide in the morning and they will take us (by shuttle) to the hills of Konavle. After a short panoramic ride, we will arrive in the village of Pridvorje and to the Ljuta River. After a 30-minute walk around the water mills and to the spring of the Ljuta River, we will continue exploring the area in the village of Dubravka, where we will visit a 15th century fortress named Sokol grad. After a sightseeing tour of this medieval fortress, we will head to the village of Radovčići, where we will visit the Ljubić family, known for its centuries-long tradition of wine and liqueur production. In their 300-year-old cellar you will get to taste their products: wine, liqueurs, dry figs, smoked ham, cheese and olives. After lunch you will return to your hotel.

7th day: free time

You will get a chance to further explore Cavtat at your leisure or alternatively, ask us to book an optional trip (a trekking trip to Mt. Sniježnica or a trip to Montenegro, Mostar etc.)
