This self-guided walking holiday is a variant of self guided walking – cultural sightseeing holiday and includes UNESCO town Dubrovnik and islands; Sipan, Korcula, the beautiful island of Mljet (national park with its salt lakes and ruined Roman palace). The island of Korcula is the birthplace of Marco Polo, Mljet is one of the most green Mediterranean islands, Lopud is an island in the Dubrovnik vicinity with long history, whilst Dubrovnik needs no introduction. During a tour you will stay in bed and breakfasts and in private apartments, you will have a local contact for emergencies and will have everything you need to enjoy this relaxed and flexible walking and cultural holiday in an exceptionally beautiful corner of the Adriatic and southern Europe.

This walking tour is not difficult to walk and it is acceptable for people of average fitness.

Adriatic islands hopping tour is trip with daily departures from April 1st to November 1st, trip length 8 days (7 nights), you can choose your departure day in any date between April 1 and October 31.


1st Day: Arrival day - transfer across Pelješac peninsula to Korčula island

Arrival day, after meeting at Dubrovnik airport with our guide/driver we will transfer you along Peljesac peninsula to port of Orebic, where we take ferry to Korcula, after short ride (just 10 – 15 minutes) to Korcula and seaside town Lumbarda, your base for next 2 days.

First day if you have enough time you can have short, warming up walk, to follow the path above the village and visit some of the sandy beaches, vineyards, enjoy in spectacular views to the open sea and island Of Lastovo, or to Peljesac peninsula, without interruptions of cars and traffics.

Night Stop: Lumbarda.

2nd Day: Village Lumbarda, Island of Korcula, walking tour up to 15 km


Walking route is about 10 km, but you have another 5 km pathway from the Korcula town to Lumbarda

After breakfast, starting walking tour from village Lumbarda, through olive groves and countryside area of Zrnovo to Town of Korcula. It is very interesting scenery of sandy beaches, pinewoods, olive groves…Upon arriving in Korcula town you have possibility to explore city by yourself (stroll through narrow streets of the Old Town, Cathedral and museum, birthplace (house) of the Marco Polo…) From town you can walk back or take taxi to Lumbarda .

3rd Day: Lumbarda – travelling to the island of Mljet, hiking in the National park Mljet

Today you visit delightful island of Mljet, famous by it is natural protected area where are two salt lakes and many historical monuments date from the ancient times.

–        After breakfast you have transfer to port of Korcula where you take ferry to Mljet, journey time about 2 hours. Your hiking trip starts in village Polace or Pomena (famous by ruined Roman Palace) and your route will take you around the salt lakes, through villages, vineyards and pine forest.

4th Day: Mljet hiking

Hiking distance is about 12 -15 km


Second day on Mljet you will have chance to explore much more of this green island. If there is a season of nice weather you can enjoy swimming in salt lakes (the sea temperature there is always couple degrees higher then in the open sea), or you can visit St. Mary island where Benedictine founded monastery in 12 century. This island you can reach by small excursion boat.

For the rest of the day there are plenty opportunities for cycling inland of the island or to the other side of the island where village Pomena is.

5th Day: Mljet - Dubrovnik, time to explore Dubrovnik on your own or sightseeing tour with our guide

This is a departure day from Mljet, you head to Dubrovnik where you spend the next 2 days of your trip.

You take ferry from Mljet island to Dubrovnik and arrival to Dubovnik port around noon.

During the afternoon in Dubrovnik you have free time, or optional city tour with our guide.

6th Day: Dubrovnik - island of Lopud - Dubrovnik

Walking distance about 9km


Self-guided walking trip on the Lopud island.

This morning you take ferry from Dubrovnik port to the Lopud island, ride takes about 45 min, for the return (in the afternoon hours) you have several departures from the Lopud port to Dubrovnik.

Lopud reach Mediterranean vegetation, mild climate with plenty sunny days, old stone houses, churches and number of noble palaces. Lopud is perfect gateway from Dubrovnik for a day hike, there are several hiking trails, or big one that makes loop around the island of 9 km where you can discover old forts, churches, botanical garden, the magnificent views over the cliffs… it is also famous for having the one of the best beaches in Dubrovnik.

Lopud is one, centrally located, in the group of the Elaphite islands; it is well connected with everyday ferry lines with Dubrovnik port. The main town and biggest place is Lopud, settled in picturesque bay with Franciscan monastery and water front surround with palm trees and citruses.  

Hiking trail starts from the Lopud port and follows the streets and steps outside of the town to magnificent view point where is fort Kastio and Sv. Ivan church, after that goes along the beach of Šunj and above cliffs on the southern side of the island… this trail finish in the town Lopud, port area where you have started it.

7th Day: Dubrovnik to Cavtat

Morning shuttle to coastal town Cavtat, rest of the day is on your own or hiking tour to the hills above Cavtat (7km), or explore Cavtat coastal countryside to town Cilipi and back, or on foot explore bays and the historical parts of the town.

Night Stop: Cavtat

8th Day: departure

After breakfast and according to the flights we organize transfer to the Dubrovnik airport or port of Dubrovnik, or bus terminal.
