This self-guided walking holiday is a variant of self guided walking – cultural sightseeing holiday and includes UNESCO town Dubrovnik and islands; Sipan, Korcula, the beautiful island of Mljet (national park with its salt lakes and ruined Roman palace). The island of Korcula is the birthplace of Marco Polo, Mljet is one of the most green Mediterranean islands, Lopud is an island in the Dubrovnik vicinity with long history, whilst Dubrovnik needs no introduction. During a tour you will stay in bed and breakfasts and in private apartments, you will have a local contact for emergencies and will have everything you need to enjoy this relaxed and flexible walking and cultural holiday in an exceptionally beautiful corner of the Adriatic and southern Europe.

This walking tour is not difficult to walk and it is acceptable for people of average fitness.

Adriatic islands hopping tour is trip with daily departures from April 1st to November 1st, trip length 8 days (7 nights), you can choose your departure day in any date between April 1 and October 31.


1st Day: Arrival day

Arrival day, after meeting at Dubrovnik airport with our guide/driver we will transfer you along Peljesac peninsula to port of Orebic, where we take ferry to Korcula, after short ride (just 10 – 15 minutes) to Korcula and seaside town Lumbarda, your base for next 2 days.

First day if you have enough time you can have short, warming up walk, to follow the path above the village and visit some of the sandy beaches, vineyards, enjoy in spectacular views to the open sea and island Of Lastovo, or to Peljesac peninsula, without interruptions of cars and traffics.

2nd Day: Village Lumbarda, Korcula, walking tour up to 15 km

After breakfast, starting walking tour from village Lumbarda, for first day we suggest rout from Village to Town of Korcula. It is very interesting scenery of sandy beaches, pine woods, olive groves…Upon arriving in Korcula town you have possibility to explore city by yourself (narrow streets of the Old Town, Cathedral and museum, birth place (house) of the Marco Polo).

3rd Day: Lumbarda – Dubrovnik, sightseeing tour

This is departure day from Korcula and we continue our holidays in Dubrovnik (two nights) after that we spend two nights on island Mljet, and last night in town of Cavtat (Dubrovnik airport vicinity)
Departure from Korcula is after the breakfast, we transfer our travellers to ferry port Domince (where they embark on the ferry to Dubrovnik, if ferry does not run that day we organize carminibus transfer from port Orebic to Dubrovnik, ferry ticket and transfer are included.
Late afternoon on schedule is meeting with the local guide and Dubrovnik sightseeing walking tour. Night on your own.

4th Day: Dubrovnik, island Lopud walking tour

Second day of Dubrovnik we go to the island of Lopud, there are many possibilities to walking and to explore island, but according to the map and directions we suggest hike from port of Lopud to the hill and old fortress above the town, then loop along the island. During the afternoon you have option of few ferries back to Dubrovnik.

5th Day: travel to island Mljet, hiking in national park

Today you visit delightful island of Mljet, famous by its natural protected area where are two salt lakes and many historical monuments that date from ancient times.

After breakfast head to port Gruz where you take ferry to Mljet, journey time about 2 hours. Your hiking trip starts in village Polace (famous by ruined Roman Palace) and your route will take you around the salt lakes, through villages, vineyards and pine forest.

Night Stop: Polace, Mljet.

6th Day: Mljet hiking

Second day on Mljet you will have chance to explore much more of this green island. If there is a season of nice weather you can enjoy swimming in salt lakes (the sea temperature there is always couple degrees higher then in the open sea), or you can visit St. Mary island where Benedictine founded monastery in 12 century. This island you can reach by small excursion boat.

For the rest of the day there are plenty opportunities for cycling inland of the island or to the other side of the island where village Pomena is.

Night Stop: Polace, Mljet.

7th Day: Return to Dubrovnik and Cavtat

During a day you will take a ferry back to Dubrovnik, in Dubrovnik port you meet our agent who will take you to your hotel in Cavtat, rest of the day is on your own, on foot stroll trough the historical parts of the town.

Night Stop: Cavtat.

8th Day: Departure day

After breakfast and according to the flights time we organize transfer to the Dubrovnik airport or port of Dubrovnik, or bus terminal.
