Dubrovnik and Korčula walks

1^st day: arrival, meet & greet at the Dubrovnik Airport

Transport to the island of Korčula via the Pelješac peninsula, with a short stop in the medieval town of Ston (refreshments, short sightseeing tour). Then we will head to Orebić (the ferry port) from where we will take the ferry to Korčula.

The rest of the day will be spent on an easy walking and sightseeing tour of the village of Lumbarda.

2^nd day: the village of Lumbarda, Korčula, walking distance: up to 15km

After breakfast you will start the walking tour from the village of Lumbarda. For your first day, we suggest you take the route that goes from the village to the town of Korčula. On this route you will get to experience the interesting scenery of sandy beaches, pine woods and olive groves. Upon your arrival in Korčula you will get a chance to explore the town at your own leisure (the narrow streets of the Old Town, the Korčula Cathedral and the museum, the birth place (house) of Marco Polo).

3^rd day: village of Lumbarda, Korčula, walking distance: up to 15km

After breakfast you can use a map and follow the directions to take a walk along the path which overlooks the village, visit numerous sandy beaches, sandy vineyards and enjoy spectacular views of the open sea, the island of Lastovo and Pelješac peninsula, without noisy traffic.

4^th day: Lumbarda – Dubrovnik, transport, Dubrovnik sightseeing tour

On the 4^th day we will leave Korčula and travel to Dubrovnik where we will stay for two nights. After leaving Dubrovnik we will spend our last two nights in the town of Cavtat (in the vicinity of the Dubrovnik Airport).

Accommodation in a private pension in the city of Dubrovnik (bedroom with own bathroom, breakfast included). In the late afternoon we will meet with the local guide and go on a sightseeing walking tour of Dubrovnik. You can spend the evening at your own leisure.

5^th day: Dubrovnik, the island of Lopud walking tour, night stop in Dubrovnik

On your second day in Dubrovnik we will travel to the island of Lopud. There are numerous possibilities for walking and exploring the island on your own. Besides nice walking paths, there are many old churches, forts and villas. This island is also ideal if you want to go for a swim or spend a day on the beach.

6^th day: hiking in the Konavle countryside

After breakfast we will travel from Dubrovnik to Cavtat and the Konavle countryside.

Before we start our hiking tour, we will leave our luggage in our accommodation in Cavtat (a private bedroom with a private bathroom, breakfast included) and we will go through the maps and directions of the trails once again.

The hiking trail starts in Cavtat and goes through the villages, forests, fields and vineyards all the way to the village of Čilipi. The trails and pathways are about 15km long and there are many possibilities to explore the area – the picturesque villages, the traditional way of life, the ethnological collection and ancient monuments, as well as the cliffs, bays and spectacular views of the open sea.

In the late afternoon we will return to your accommodation in Cavtat.

7^th day: free time in Cavtat

This day is reserved for relaxing and an easy sightseeing tour of the Cavtat Old Town, its parks and pathways. If you are interested in culture and history, you can visit the Cavtat museums, its ethnological collection, galleries and churches or you can spend the day relaxing on the beach and have a nice meal in one of the great restaurants.

8^th day: departure

After breakfast and in accordance with the flight times, we will organize the transport service to the Dubrovnik Airport, the port of Dubrovnik or the bus terminal.
